Lea
(Rumble Girls) Hernandez, Art for Book #1
Lea
Hernandez' high school friends recall that she wanted to do nothing
else but make comics. After graduation, college, and getting married
to someone who loved comics too, she does. Lea's been a comics
pro for almost twenty years, and has worked every comics-related
job there is: artist, writer, colorist, letterer, editor and publisher.
Lea's advice to aspiring cartoonists is to keep drawing, and to
write and draw comics about what happens to you (even if you disguise
it as superheroes, fantasy or science fiction), because those
are the best and most true stories. Lea lives in Texas with her
husband, two kids, four cats, two dogs and seven fancy rats. Her
favorite quote about art is from the great illustrator Andrew
Loomis: "I can't draw a straight line, either. I use a ruler."

Daniel Rendon, Art for book#2 and beyond
Yes I am a Cat! Just don' tell it to my dog! I was born on February
6. I have always been an avid reader, so I think it's only natural
that I found comics fascinating. I just love how comics merge
both writing and drawing, how they let you experiment new paths,
but most important they give you the opportunity to create your
own worlds and share them with others! |
